Opening: Friday 30 November 2018, 6.30-8.30pm Continues: 1-16 December 2018 Fakers is an exhibition that questions if / how methods of making are gendered - what are perceived as masculine/ feminine ways of working? The show features a selection of female artists or 'grafters' who make work that requires a great deal of technical proficiency. The feminist politics foregrounded in the work presented does not reside in any ideology or concept behind each individual work, but arises through the material practice of making - the 'hard graft' and negotiation of materials. With exhibition text by Adriana Blidaru of Living Content. Events: Threads of Interest Tour: Saturday 8 December 2018, 4pm Booklet Binding and Informal Discussion Group: Sunday 16 December 2018, 4pm
