Kingsgate Project Space is thrilled to announce we have received funding from the Arts Council Emergency Response Fund to run a socially distant programme for the next six months.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ We will be commissioning digital artworks for desktops and running a new mail art initiative: Kingsgate Postal Service.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Desktop Backdrops - As more and more people are working from home; an increasing amount of time is being spent working on a laptop. To claim this space’s potential for viewing contemporary art, each month Kingsgate will invite one artist to make a new digital work for our audience to upload to their desktop background.

One writer will also be invited to work with this artist to produce a piece of text to be sent alongside the artwork. KPS hopes to be a non-precious, playful and generous system for sharing thoughts, experiments and oddities.⁣⁣⁣
