Xiao-yang Li has a solo exhibition at Museo Leonora Carrington, Mexico 11 January - 3 March 2019 and
narrative projects is pleased to announce a first solo exhibition by Xiao-yang Li (b1985, Harbin, China; lives and works in London) in an international museum. Following on her ten week residency at the Museo Leonora Carrington in San Luis Potosi the artist will exhibit a new body of work developed in response to her immediate surroundings (Mexican architecture, streets, light, etc.) and the museum's context. Museo Leonora Carrington San Luis Potosí is the first museum dedicated to the prominent surrealist British-born artist who spent most of her life in Mexico, producing sculpture, painting, textiles, drawing and etchings; as well as writing novels, plays and short stories. The museum holds a collection of bronze sculptures, jewellery and drawings. narrative projects will be presenting a solo booth by Xiao-yang Li at London Art Fair in Art Projects section on 16 - 20 January 2019.
