Sightings

Alex Crocker, Lucy Stein, Laura Bygrave, Jacqui Hallum, Ross Taylor, Karolina Ptaszkowska

Curated by Phil Root

Caraboo Projects, Bristol

17 November - 16 December 2018

Caraboo Projects’ second exhibition Sightings brings together six artists who are exploring themes such as shamanism, divination, witchcraft and Victorian spiritualism. The imagery and subject matter that these artists collectively move between borrows from the mystical and the everyday.

Sightings will present painting, drawing and sculpture by Laura Bygrave, Alex Crocker, Jacqui Hallum, Karolina Ptaszkowska and Ross Taylor and a new site specific work by Lucy Stein. The pieces will sit alongside objects from the artists’ personal possessions, thus creating a layering of works which through their placement and display will oscillate together to create a single voice.

There will be a programme of talks, performances and children’s workshops, for more information click here.
