Larry Achiampong is part of interactive art experience The Wonder Project at Wakehurst/The Royal Bot

The Wonder Project

Wakehurst/The Royal Botanical Gardens Kew, West Sussex

26 to 29 July and 2 to 5 August 2018

This new interactive arts experience will take you on a journey through Wakehurst, exploring our evolving and complex relationship with nature - from the elements and soil, to flora and fauna.

Unfolding into the wider landscape you will encounter soundscapes, sculptures and art installations, inspired by Wakehurst’s plants and the work of Kew’s scientists in the Millennium Seed Bank.

Featuring newly created artwork from world renowned artists including Hidden Orchestra, artist Larry Achiampong and writer Aida Amoako, Limbic Cinema and Eloise Moody and Vicky Long from Studio Long.

This immersive evening will stimulate your curiosity, inviting you to learn more about the importance of plants and your own place in the natural world.

You will roam through woodlands and fields across Wakehurst’s wild spaces, from the sweeping landscape of Bloomers Valley to the slopes of the Himalayan Glade. Along the way, the artworks will inspire you to experience these surroundings anew.

Join your fellow wonderers at the end of the route as we gather in Coronation Meadow to watch the sunset, and reflect on the wonders you’ve seen.
