Greta Hauer, Inside the Embassy, 2013

Ex A.I.R Lauren Godfrey has been invited to participate in When an object becomes a thing an in-conversation event held at Pump House Gallery, alongside artists Craig Fisher and Great Hauer, and curator Hannah Conroy. It will be held on the 5 December 2015 from 2-4pm, and it is free however booking is advised.

'...to coincide with the exhibition things we didn’t have before, Pump House Gallery invites artists Craig Fisher, Lauren Godfrey and Greta Hauer to share their thoughts on object ‘thingness’. Using this ambiguous statement as a starting point, the event aims to delve deeper into conversation instigated by the exhibition itself: the point at which an object transcends its inanimate status and is imbued with significance beyond its immediate visual quality or utilitarian function. This informal event will be mediated by curator Hannah Conroy who has worked with members from CDS Wandsworth, a local recovery group, to select and curate artworks for this exhibition...'
