Andy Jacobs creates contemporary, free-standing furniture made from a variety of natural timbers.

After obtaining a City & Guilds in Fine Furniture, Andy decided to set up his own practice designing and making solid wood furniture; broadly one-off pieces, to commission. Taking inspiration from both a Scandinavian and Mid-Century Modern aesthetic, he likes to pare back his pieces so the wood does the talking without the distraction of fussy details. Combining the random, natural nature of wood with strong geometric elements creates pieces that provide visual interest as well as many years of use.
