Sarah Boulton has made a new exhibition 'Take Away Shadow’ for Calvin Laing’s Shelf Show - a tiny shelf in Laing's flat in Edinburgh, Scotland.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The shadow of the shelf stretches and moves throughout the day by Calvin’s window. One day, Sarah calls Calvin from Devon to tell him her work for the shelf in Scotland. Calvin installs the piece by telling it to the shelf, where it is on exhibit for a week. ⁣ Working together, Sarah, Calvin and Polly engage with the method of word of mouth; also choosing this informal mode of storytelling to offer the experience of the piece on the shelf.
