‘Swallow Up’ is an 8 minute single channel video which features interviews with Astronaut Naoko Yamazaki and Space Psychologist Tomio Kinoshita. The film explores our relationship with the infinite; which teeters on the edges of fear, wonder, existential anxiety and awe. And juxtaposes the expansiveness of outer space with the claustrophobia of our internal worlds. It was shot on location in Ibaraki, Japan in 2019.
