Maia Conran | This island, and its buildings, is our private paradise | Performance 2 October 7:30pm

 

Maia Conran will be hosting a performance on Friday 2nd October 2015, 7:30pm in Kingsgate Project Space.

Drawing on Maia’s core interest in process and transposition the performance re-stages elements of her exhibition. Sampling found footage with live digital navigation and enacted monologues, she creates a temporary space to encounter an alternate version of the island.

Maia's performance forms part of Art Licks Weekend, 2nd - 4th October 2015 – a celebration of

artist-run projects, curatorial collectives and young galleries across the city of London. For more information on the full programme, please visit the Art Licks website here.

 

 This island, and its buildings, is our private paradise. is open Thursday-Saturday 12-6pm, or by appointment. However on Friday 2nd October, Kingsgate Project Space will close at 5pm in preparation for the performance. It will then reopen from 8-9pm for visitors to view Maia's exhibition after the performance has finished.
