Anastsia Lewis is not only known for her painting but also for her photography and curating.
Initially, Lewis studied Theatre Design at Central St. Martins. In 1992 she took a postgraduate course in painting and some short courses in printmaking. Subsequently, she has had several solo shows and her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions. It can be found in collections in many different countries.
Lewis’s work is largely non-figurative but it is influenced by the time she has spent living and walking in the landscape of eastern England. Working in collage, watercolours or oils, or sometimes all three together, the resulting images are a distillation of her observations.
